2026 Audi SQ5: The Practical SUV With a Faster Pulse

The 2026 Audi SQ5 is made for drivers who want one vehicle to cover very different parts of the week. It has the space and comfort expected from a premium SUV, but its V6 power and sharp responses add real excitement. On an Ottawa commute, it can feel calm and refined. The New Generation Brings More Muscle

The 2026 SQ5 is part of the new third generation Q5 family. It now uses Audi’s Premium Platform Combustion architecture and a completely redesigned cabin. Compared with the previous SQ5, output rises from 349 to 362 horsepower. Torque increases from 369 to 406 lb ft, while the 0 to 100 km/h time improves from 5.0 to 4.8 seconds.

A 3.0 litre turbocharged V6 sits at the centre of the experience. Its twin scroll turbocharger is placed within the V of the engine to support quick response. A seven speed S tronic transmission and standard quattro all wheel drive send power to the road.


A Stronger Look Without Extra Noise

Large sculpted bumpers, aluminium look exterior details and four round exhaust outlets give the SQ5 its own identity. Standard 21 inch wheels fill the arches and make the stance look planted.

The available Black optic package changes the mood with black mirror housings and roof rails. Dark chrome exhaust tips and anthracite Audi rings add a more discreet finish. Buyers can also choose from two additional 21 inch wheel designs.

Fast Does Not Have to Feel Restless

The SQ5 is quick, but it is not designed to punish passengers. Audi highlights S tuned adaptive air suspension that adjusts as road and driving conditions change. Ride height can also be altered, giving the driver more control over how the SUV feels.

Quattro all wheel drive supports traction through wet pavement and winter conditions. The system works quietly in the background. This helps the SQ5 feel secure during regular travel without taking away from its athletic character.


Support When the Drive Becomes Busy

Available adaptive cruise assist can maintain a chosen distance from traffic ahead and provide lane centring support. It remains a hands on system, so the driver must stay attentive.

The available head up display can reduce the need to glance away from the road. Standard quattro also adds useful confidence when changing weather affects grip.

The Dashboard Has Become a Digital Stage

An 11.9 inch virtual cockpit flows into a 14.5 inch MMI display. The wide layout keeps driving information and everyday controls within easy reach.

An available 10.9 inch passenger display lets the front passenger manage compatible apps. An available head up display can place important information within the driver’s view. Audi connect adds intelligent navigation, remote services, remote start and security tools.

Music can be upgraded through the available 685 watt Bang and Olufsen system with 16 speakers. An available forward facing dashcam records 4K video at 30 frames per second. An SD card must be supplied by the owner.
