2026 Audi Q7: Strength That Knows How to Stay Smooth

The 2026 Audi Q7 proves that a large family SUV can still feel quick and controlled. It has room for seven people, but it never feels focused only on size. Two turbocharged engines are offered. The Q7 45 uses a turbocharged four cylinder engine with 261 horsepower. It is a sensible choice for everyday travel, school runs and regular highway driving. The power arrives smoothly, so the SUV feels calm even when the cabin is full.

Drivers who want more strength can choose the Q7 55. Its turbocharged V6 produces 335 horsepower and 369 lb ft of torque. It reaches 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds. That gives the larger Q7 useful confidence when merging, passing or carrying passengers and luggage on a longer trip.

A Large SUV That Turns With Confidence

Available four wheel steering helps the Q7 feel easier to manage. At lower speeds, the rear wheels turn slightly in the opposite direction from the front wheels. This can make tight turns and crowded parking areas feel less demanding. At higher speeds, the rear wheels turn in the same direction as the front wheels to support stability.

It is a clever feature because the Q7 remains spacious inside without feeling awkward during daily driving.

Quattro Works Before You Ask

Quattro all wheel drive is standard across the 2026 Q7 lineup. The system can move power between the front and rear axles as grip changes. This happens in the background, so the driver does not need to make constant adjustments when the road becomes wet, snowy or uneven.


That added traction is especially welcome during an Ontario winter. It also helps the Q7 feel stable when leaving a slippery parking area or travelling on a road covered with loose snow.

Comfort Can Change With the Road

Sport adaptive air suspension is available on selected Q7 55 models. It can electronically adjust the dampers and ride height. This allows the SUV to feel more relaxed on rough pavement or more controlled when the road begins to curve.

The system can also change how the vehicle sits. This gives the driver more freedom to match the Q7 to the journey instead of accepting one fixed ride setting.

Ready When the Weekend Gets Heavier

When equipped with the available trailer hitch, the Q7 can tow up to 3,493 kg. The package includes a tow hitch receiver and seven pin connector. That capacity can support a boat, travel trailer or other recreational equipment when properly configured.

The Q7 also provides three rows of seating for up to seven people. Its third row can be folded at the touch of a button, making it easier to create more cargo room when passenger space is not needed.
